DIGITAL COMPARATOR

PURPOSE:To provide a circuit which compares and detects a voltage without taking the power variance, the noise, and the deviation of parts into consideration by directly detecting a comparison voltage by digital data without converting PCM data to an analog signal in the comparing and detecting circuit for PCM data and an arbitrary specific voltage. CONSTITUTION:This comparator is provided with a serial-parallel conversion circuit 1 which converts PCM serial data to parallel data, a latch circuit 2 which holds the output of the serial-parallel conversion circuit 1, and a PCM data discriminating circuit which discriminates the level of PCM output code outputted from the latch circuit 2, and this device is so constituted that PCM serial data is compared and outputted without conversion to an analog signal.
