Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To enable sawing for determining of a dimensional width to be stably performed by a method wherein a signal is sent to a servomotor by key operation of an operation panel on the operation panel built in a computer to set a distance to be transferred, and the distance between a ruler and teeth of circular saw is automatically controlled to a requied distance by moving the ruler. CONSTITUTION:A ruler moving device which can move forward and backward in lateral directions with a feeder by driven of an AC servomotor 12 is provided on this side of a circular sawing machine 17 which saws a material 19 to be sawn in longitudinal directions. Then, information from an out side is detected by key operation of an operation panel 21 on the operation pane 20 built in a computer. Thereafter, internal information for the movement distance is sent in a digital signal form to a processing part 22 and a memory part 23. Then, the feed distance is converted to a pulse, and an instructed distance is determined by sending a signal to the servomotor 12. A dimensional error or the like of a batten with a conventional ripsaw can be canceled thereby, and sawing for stably determining of a dimensional width, grinding of an edge, etc., can be simply easily highly accurately and extremely efficiently performed.
