PURPOSE:To manufacture sintered ore of good quality by screening the primary undersize of powder cokes and other powders and storing the primary undersize, and blending the respective powder cokes with the sintering raw material according to the generation ratio. CONSTITUTION:The cokes whose grain size is approximately 20mm or smaller which is accepted by a receiving hopper 1 is screened by a screen 2. The undersize whose grain size is approximately 3mm or smaller is carried to a blending tank 3 for the powder coke as it is. The oversize coke is stored in an intermediate hopper 4. The stored oversize coke is supplied to a comminuting machine 5 and comminuted thereby, and stored in other blending tank 6. The powder coke whose grain size is large is stored in the blending tank 3, while the comminuted coke whose grain size is small is stored in the blending tank 6. The respective powder cokes are blended with the sintering raw material according to the generation ratio. Since the powder coke of the same grain size is contained in any part of the sintering raw material, stable combustion is executed during the sintering operation. Generation of return fines is reduced, and the deviation of the tumbler strength of the sintered ore is reduced.
