Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To reduce an angle of twisting and the amount of deflection by arranging a reinforced fiber layer having a reinforced fiber impregnated with a synthetic resin wound spirally in one direction with respect to a longitudinal direction of the shaft and a separate reinforced fiber layer having the fiber wound at a different angle in the opposite direction. CONSTITUTION:In the manufacture of a golf shaft using a filament winding device for the formation of golf shafts, firstly, a reinforced fiber 2 is wound spirally moving a traverse in the direction X from one end to the other end to form a reinforced fiber layer 2a with an angle theta1 of winding. Then, after the winding to a specified position of a mandrel, subsequently, a reinforced fiber is wound spirally moving the traverse 4 in the opposite direction Y from the other end to the one end to form a reinforced fiber layer 2b with an angle theta2 of winding. Here, the angle theta1 and theta2 of winding of the reinforced fibers 2a and 2b are differentiated from each other and the difference between the angles is set at 3-10 deg., preferably 4-6 deg.. This enables the checking of twisting and deflection of the golf shaft thereof thereby stabilizing the direction of hitting balls.
