Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To safely and readily produce solid CO2 by constructing from a detachable frame a molding chamber connected to a CO2supplying pipe through a pressure-reducing valve, the CO2supplying pipe being connected to a high pressure container charged with liquid CO2. CONSTITUTION:A frame 1 is aligned to a bottom lid 9, and an upper lid 10 is loaded on the frame 1. A clamp 11 provided with an eccentric cam 11a is backward pulled. When the pulling angle becomes theta, the upper lid 10 is pressed to the frame 1 to close the molding chamber 15. The valve 5 of the high pressure container 2 is subsequently opened to jet the liquid CO2 into the molding chamber 15 from a tip nozzle 8 through the supplying pipe 3. The liquid CO2 is thus exposed to reduced pressures and adiabatically expanded, whereby the mixture of gaseous CO2. with the produced snow-like solid CO2 is supplied into the molding chamber 15. While only the gaseous CO2 of the mixture is discharged from the molding chamber 15 through a filter 16 and a net 17, the solid CO2 is gradually accumulated in the molding chamber 15 through the filter 16 by the blowout pressure of the mixture, and subsequently compression- molded. The valve 7 is closed, and the solid CO2 product is taken out.
