PURPOSE:To prevent the end cap of a high-voltage high-power transmission line from coming off even when tension is applied to the cap itself to a certain degree and, at the same time, to make the outside diameter of a lead joint for securing airtightness equal to or smaller than the outside diameter of a transmission line by mounting the end cap on the metallic spiral sheath of the transmission line with screws. CONSTITUTION:An end cap 5 composed of a spiral bottomed body is fitted by using screws to the metallic spiral sheath 3 of a high-voltage high-power transmission line 4 manufactured by coating the external surface of an insulating sheath around a central conductor 1 with the sheath 3. It is also possible to form a leadwork (a) for securing airtightness between the end edge 5a of the cap 5 and the sheath 3 at the trough section of the sheath 3.
