Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity in a shorter wavelength region by incorporating a specified sensitizing dye. CONSTITUTION:At least each one of sensitizing dyes to be used is represented by formulae I and II, respectively, in which each of Z and Z is a nonmetallic atomic group necessary to form a benzoxazole or thiazole or pyridine ring or the like, both are not benzoxazole at the same time; each of R1-R3 is, independently, optionally substituted alkyl; each of m and n is 0 or 1; X1 is a counter ion necessary to neutralize an electric charge in the molecule; p is an integer necessary to neutralize it and p=0 when the dye forms an intramolecular ion; Z is a benzoxazole or naphthoxazole ring or the like; Z is a benzoxazole or thiazole ring or the like; each of R4 and R5 is alkyl or the like; Q is hydrogen atom or the like; X2 is same as X1; and q is same as p, thus permitting sensitivity in the shorter wavelength region (520-530nm) to be enhanced.
