PURPOSE:To obtain a bisphenol A purill having a high strength and difficult to powder. CONSTITUTION:A method for producing the bisphenol A purill by solidifying the drops of the melted liquid of the bisphenol A comprises adding a reaction mother liquor or crystallization mother liquor produced in the bisphenol A producing process and contact-treated with a strong acidic cation exchange resin or zeolite to the bisphenol A or to the adduct or mixture of the bisphenol A to or with phenol, subjecting the mixture to a phenol-removing treatment and then granulating the treated mixture. Since the added mother liquor, etc., are the contact-treated product of the reaction by-products of the bisphenol A, the mother liquor, etc., are not only readily available but also do not give large effects to the physical properties, especially hue, etc., of the bisphenol A purill.
