Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide a tube laying device which can obtain high quality welding and inspect a welding part with high reliability. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a scanning device 4 which runs in the peripheral direction of the steel tube 1 and in the axial direction of the tube, a groove measuring device 20 which is mounted freely detachably on the scanning device 4, measures the groove shape and creates data of the groove shape, a storage device 50 to accumulate the data of the groove shape, a welding device 30 to execute welding and an ultrasonic test equipment 40 to measure weld defects. Welding positions and welding conditions are controlled by the welding device 30 in accordance with data accumulated in the storage means and flaw positions are controlled by the ultrasonic flaw detector 40 in accordance with data accumulated in the storage means.
