PURPOSE: To provide a method and device which perform the direct memory address (DMA) operation between a request device and a response device. CONSTITUTION: A logical token 110, which can be recognized by a device as an indicator for discrimination of one or more local memory addresses of the device, and an offset value are preliminarily stored for each device, and DMA operation in a request device 100 is started by transfer of the token 110 and the offset value from the request device 100 to a response device 200, and the response device translates the token 110 and the offset value to discriminate the local memory address of the response device. The response device 200 accesses the discriminated local memory address of the response device 200 for the purpose of transferring data related to the token 110 and the offset value, and the request device 100 discriminates the local memory address or true request device for the purpose of completing data transfer.
