Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To produce a high-density ITO sintered compact without causing cracking, etc., by sintering the fine ITO powder having a high specific surface at normal pressure. CONSTITUTION:An acrylic binder having about 340-360 deg.C decomposition temp. is added to a fine ITO powder contg. about 10wt.% of tin oxide powder, mixed by a ball mill, granulated and compacted to obtain a green compact having about 3.8g/cm density. The green compact is kept at about 400 deg.C for 2hr by an electric furnace at atmospheric pressure, then heated up to about 1600 deg.C and held at this temp. for 10 hours to obtain a high-density sintered compact having about 6.4g/cm relative density.
