PURPOSE:To facilitate the positioning of a plurality kinds of works, enable positioning in a simple manner when the works are added or the dimensions are changed, and simplify the structure of the device by providing to a stopper a driving means which sets a pair of the specified stopper pins opposite to each other by rotating a turntable provided to a frame. CONSTITUTION:A turntable 30 is rotated counterclockwise by driving a motor 35 in the case of the second highest work (B). A sensor 51 is set opposite to a dog 46 and turned on, while a sensor 52 is turned off, the motor 35 is stopped, the turntable 30 is stopped at the position and held. Stopper pins 41, 41 are set opposite to the respective ends of a stopper 28. A cylinder 25 is extended until the stopper 28 is brought into contact with these stopper pins 41, 41, and lifts a reference plate 23, and lifts a pallet from a carrying conveyor. Thus, the height of the pallet is positioned by rotating the turntable 30 relative to the works of different height.
