Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To efficiently remove the phosphorus in raw materials in the process for producing a molten metal by charging only the phosphorus element-contg. carbon system solid reducing agent from the top of a vertical type metal refining furnace and regulating the time until this reducing agent arrives at a tuyere part under specific conditions. CONSTITUTION:The molten metal is heretofore produced by forming the packed layer of the carbon solid reducing agent contg. the phosphorus elements into the vertical type metal refining furnace and blowing a metal oxide or the metal oxide and a slag forming agent together with high-temp. air or the high-temp. air enriched with oxygen into the furnace from the lower tuyere part. Only the carbon system solid reducing agent is charged into the furnace from the furnace top without charging the metals or basic slag forming agents, such as metal oxide and scrap, and the stagnation time from the region where the temp. rises to >=1500 deg.C up to the blowing tuyere part is so as to hold the reducing agent for >=1 hours. As a result, the discharge of the phosphorus as dust to the outside of the furnace is accelerated and the low-phosphorus molten metal is produced. |
