Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To prevent print quality from becoming deteriorated due to the bit discontinuity of a thermal head and spacing loss by protecting the thermal head against the attachment of resin in a thermosensitive recording medium designed so that a thermal head slides on the surface of a resin protecting layer. CONSTITUTION:The subject thermosensitive recording medium consists of a substrate and a thermosensitive recording layer formed at least, on one of the main surfaces of the substrate, with a protecting layer composed of thermoplastic resin as the top layer of the surface on the thermosensitive recording layer side. The low molecular weight percentage of the thermoplastic resin is 10% or lower.
