PURPOSE:To reduce the required storing space of a video camera when its lens cap is opened, to increase the degree of designing freedom of the lens cap, and to facilitate the opening/closing operations of a lens by providing plural pairs of blade members to the barrel body attached at the tip of a lens barrel in order to open and close the lens front face in cooperation with each other. CONSTITUTION:When a drive plate 9 is turned in an arrow A direction, the 1st blade members 7 are turned in the arrow A direction around a support shaft 11 via the pins 12 provided to the plate 9. Thus, the members 7 close and cover the center of an opening part. In the same way, the pins 13 provided to the 2nd blade members 8 are guided by the slits 9c. Thus, the members 8 turn in the same direction and cover the fringe part of the opening part. Meanwhile, these members 7 and 8 open with their actions given in the opposite direction and the opening part is exposed. Under such conditions, both members 7 and 8 have their reduced areas because they consist of two parts. Therefore, both members 7 and 8 can be easily stored in a narrow inside space of an outer barrel 5.
