PURPOSE:To prevent an IC card from being erroneously destroyed by providing a lock operating member to disable the pull-out of the IC card, lock cancel switch and a reset switch to be switched while being interlocked with the lock operating member. CONSTITUTION:This equipment is provided with a lock operating member 6 to disable the discharge of the inserted IC card, lock ON/OFF switch (first switch) 17, reset switch (second switch) 18 to be operated while being interlocked with that lock operating member 6, means to execute inactive processings for reset signal supply, clock supply stop and power supply stop to the IC card by the switch operation of the lock ON/OFF switch 17, and means to supply reset signals to a connecting terminal and to stop the operation of the IC card by the switch operation of the reset switch 18 and when canceling the lock state disabling the discharge of the IC card by using the lock operating member 6, the lock ON/OFF switch 17 is switched before switching the reset switch 18.
