PURPOSE:To prevent generation of copying defect in picture quality in an image forming device which forms a toner image using a photo-sensitive substance belt having photo-transmissivity by arranging so that the contaminant on the belt rear surface can be removed easily, and subjecting the belt to a processing with which contaminant is not likely to attach. CONSTITUTION:A cleaning/coating application member 30 is arranged on the rear surface of a photo-sensitive substance belt 2, and an electrostatic charging preventive agent is included in the member 30, which is pressed to the belt rear surface so as to remove toner, etc., attached to the belt rear surface and also apply the preventive agent. When the belt rear surface is irradiated with light given by a deelectrifying lamp 25 or by a rear-surface irradiating member 17, the effect of irradiation light is allowed to exert effectively, and generation of defective copying, etc., is prevented.
