Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To remove endotoxin in a phospholipid by a simple operation and to purify the phospholipid by emulsifying or dispersing the phospholipid into water and separating the phospholipid from water. CONSTITUTION:Phospholipid is emulsified or dispersed into water (preferably distilled water for injection) in a weight ratio of phospholipid and water of 1:100-1:5 and phospholipid is separated from water by a method for using a membrane filter. For example, dimyristylphosphatidylcholine or distearoylphosphatidylserine may be cited as the phospholipid and a phospholipid containing >=12C acyl group is preferable. Endotoxin in a phospholipid is determined by quantitatively measuring the amount of endotoxin in water separated from the phospholipid by the above-mentioned procedure.
