EXCITER FOR ELECTROMAGNETIC BRAKE

PURPOSE:To conduct operation having excellent efficiency by deciding brake release when currents change from increase to decrease within a fixed time after a time when an exciting command is emitted and outputting a brake operation signal. CONSTITUTION:Currents begin to be made to flow through an electromagnetic brake given a current reference after a time when a brake-coil exciting command BRC is transmitted, and are increased at a rotational time constant. When the armature of the electromagnetic brake attracts the brake by a current value kept within a fixed time limit, the induced voltage of the magnetic coil 3 of the electromagnetic brake is fluctuated, and currents are reduced temporarily. A brake operation detecting means 5 decides the brake as release of the brake when currents are reduced, and outputs a brake operation signal BRS. Accordingly, waste is eliminated in the cycle time of a motion at the time of application, in which the operation and stoppage of a motor are repeated frequently, thus conducting a motion having excellent efficiency.
