Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To facilitate the supply of a material to be cut to a slicing machine and the extraction of the cut material. CONSTITUTION:In a slicing machine 1 with an annular cutting edge 2, to an inner periphery of which a cutting edge 3 is formed, a material to be cut W is placed on a mount 12 installed onto a carriage 11 which is arranged in front of the cutting edge 2 and moves back and forth by a constant distance in the longitudinal direction. A cutting-member support base 13 is mounted on the carriage 11 movably back and forth, the mount is transferred and the material to be cut W is advanced by a constant distance, the material to be cut W is inserted into the cutting edge 2 in fixed length together with the support base 13 by the travelling over a fixed distance of the carriage 11, and the material W is cut, thus forming cut members in required length. The cut members are pulled out in front of the cutting edge together with the support base by the return of the carriage. Accordingly, the supply of the material to be cut and the extraction of the cut members are conducted from the front of the cutting edge.
