CYLINDER FOR ARTIFICIAL LEG

PURPOSE:To prevent a discomfort sense from being given to an artificial leg wearing person by constituting the cylinder so that a shock at the time when the tip of the lower thigh part of an artificial leg and the lower end of the thigh part abut on each other scarcely works. CONSTITUTION:In an artificial leg in which the thigh part and the lower thigh part are connected so as to be freely oscillatable, and a cylinder 5a is provided between them, the cylinder is constituted so that a piston 12a to which a rod 13a is fixed is fitted into a sleeve 15a of a main body so as to be freely oscillatable, a large diameter part 22a connected and provided in the piston is provided in the rod, and this large diameter part is fitted into an inner hole 24a provided on a rod cover 14a in the vicinity of a terminal in the rod chamber direction of the piston. In the rod, a passage 21b for connecting the inner hole to a head side chamber at the time when the large diameter part is fitted into the inner hole is opened, and in this passage, a check valve 18a for setting the head side chamber direction from the rod side chamber direction as the forward direction, and a throttle valve 21a which can be adjusted from the outside, are provided in parallel, and between the rod side chamber and the inner hole, a throttle valve 27a is provided.
