Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To quicken the drive speed in the optical scanning type image sensor having a thin film sandwich type light receiving element. CONSTITUTION:A belt-like light receiving element 2 in the image sensor provided with a light source 11 emitting a light to an original face 4, a scanning means 1 scanning the light from the light source 11 onto the original face 4, and the thin film sandwich type belt-like light receiving element 2 receiving a reflected light from the original face 4 is divided into plural elements 20d-20c, the image sensor is provided with a selection means 6 selecting the adjacent light receiving elements 20 and an adder means 7 adding outputs from the selected light receiving elements 20 to reduce the capacitance of the light receiving elements 20 thereby quickening the drive of the optical scanning type image sensor.
