Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide an additional recording type optical recording medium which is interchangeable with a compact disk and can be produced at a low cost. CONSTITUTION:A Bi layer 3 is formed on a glass substrate 4 by vacuum- depositing Bi in 40nm thickness and a Te layer 2 is formed on the Bi layer 3 by vacuum-depositing Te in 60nm thickness. A ZnS layer 1 is further formed as a protective film on the Te layer 2 by vacuum-depositing ZnS in 100nm thickness to obtain an additional recording type optical recording medium having ZnS/Te/Bi/glass substrate structure. This recording medium produces about 25% difference in spectral reflectance before and after information recording and is interchangeable with a compact disk.
