TENTER DEVICE

PURPOSE:To prevent separation of fabric from a pin resulting from knocking phenomena by braking rotation of chain wheel at the driven side by an air brake when the rotation is judged in a low-speed range based on a detected signal of tenter chain speed. CONSTITUTION:In a tenter, when fabric F is continuously treated by the tenter by driving a pair of right and left tenter chains 12 laid between chain wheels 14 rotatable by a driving motor 18 at the driving side and chain wheels 16 equipped with air brakes 22 at the driven side, a speed control device 20 measures the number of revolutions of the chain wheels 14 at the driving side and outputs a speed signal to a meter relay 24. When voltage, etc., of the speed signal is in a given range, the tenter chain 12 is judged to be in a low-speed range, a solenoid valve of the air brake 22 is controlled and the chain wheel 16 at the driven side is braked to suppress knocking caused by backlash during engaging between the wheels 16 and the tenter chains 12.
