Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To obtain a projecting material for mechanical plating having good rubbing adhesive properties to the object to be treated by using iron or an iron alloy as a nucleus, forming a zinc alloy layer around the nucleus and thereafter executing heat treatment to regulate Hv hardness to that specified. CONSTITUTION:Iron or an iron alloy is used as a nucleus, and a zinc alloy layer is formed around the nucleus to obtain a projecting material for mechanical plating. The forming method can be executed by immersing the grains of iron or an iron alloy in a molten soln. of a zinc alloy or bringing the grains into reaction with zinc alloy steam. Next, this projecting material is subjected to heat treatment at a treating temp. of about 300 to 700 deg.C for about 5 to 30min. In this way, the Hv hardness of the outermost layer of the zinc alloy layer of the projecting material is regulated from about 30-60 to 60-370. This projecting material for mechanical plating is projected on the object to be treated, by which a zinc alloy film is formed on the surface of the object to be treated with good rubbing adhesive properties.
