MOBILE BODY RADIO COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption of a mobile body communication equipment by limiting a current of a reception section so as to obtain a required minimum reception sensitivity under a strong electric field having a margin in the reception sensitivity in the standby state. CONSTITUTION:The communication equipment is provided with a comparator 2 comparing an output voltage of an RSSI circuit 4 corresponding to a signal amplitude of an IF circuit 6 with an output voltage of a reference level generating means 3 storing a characteristic of the RSSI circuit 4 corresponding to the reception electric field strength to calculate the reception electric field strength and uses a control means 1 storing the required minimum reception sensitivity corresponding to the reception electric field strength so as to control an RF circuit 5 thereby obtaining the required minimum reception sensitivity corresponding to an output of the comparator 2 and to control the characteristic stored in the reference level generating means 3 thereby correcting it by a gain change in the RF circuit 5.
