LOAD CURRENT DETECTION CIRCUIT

PURPOSE:To achieve the accurate detection of a load current value of a fuel pump motor or the like even when the motor is subjected to a duty control at a high speed. CONSTITUTION:A load current detection circuit is made up of a current sink source (transistor TR) into which a current IS is made to flow at a sense terminal TM proportional to a mean of source terminal voltages (voltages at a point A) of a power MOS transistor T connected between a power source and a load and a means (comparator COMP) to compare the mean of the source terminal voltages with a means of a sense terminal voltage (voltage at a point B). It is detected wherein a not a load current is normal according to the results of the comparison.
