PORTABLE TELEPHONE SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To provide a portable telephone system provided with an electronic notebook function simply executing dialing operation and inputting operation of data such as telephone directory data. CONSTITUTION:Operation keys for telephone set such as a dial key are provided to an upper face of a switching member 2 fitted in an open/close way to an upper side of a case main body 1 and operation keys for electronic notebook such as a character data entry key are provided to an area covered by a rear side 4 of the open/close member and the open/close member 2 on a case main body surface 5. Furthermore, the system is provided with a switch 6 detecting the open/close state of the open/close member 2 and a means applying changeover control to the mode of the telephone set into the telephone set mode or the electronic notebook mode based on a detection output of the switch 6. Furthermore, a retrieval key retrieving storage data for the electronic notebook is provided on the upper face of the open/close member 2 and the data for electronic notebook such as telephone directory data having telephone numbers and names in pairs are displayed on a display device in the telephone set mode by operating the retrieval key.
