METHOD FOR CONTROLLING ROLLING OF ROLLING MILL

PURPOSE:To provide a method for controlling rolling of a rolling mill that a flow of sheet of a workpiece is prevented, also uniform thickness distribution is realized and small distortion rolling of sheet can be executed. CONSTITUTION:Using rolling load, each bender force that is applied to intermediate roll 5, 6 and shifting amount, loads that are applied to right and left load cells 17, 18 are determined and, using these loads, the difference DELTAS between rolling reduction positions is calculated. Based on this difference DELTAS between rolling reduction positions, the rolling reduction position of a lower back-up roll 8 is set so that an upper back-up roll 7 and the lower back-up roll 8 are parallel by driving/controlling hydraulic cylinders 13, 14.
