VIDEO SIGNAL PROCESSING METHOD AND CIRCUIT THEREFOR

PURPOSE:To simplify a circuit constitution by operating an outline correction by the tap gain variable type transversal filter of a ghost removing circuit. CONSTITUTION:A digital video signal inputted from a terminal 1 is turned to a signal obtained by removing the approximate ghost of almost an + or -1us of the video signal by an approximate ghost removing circuit 2. The signal is corrected by an outline correcting circuit 3 by using the tap gain variable type transversal filter of the ghost removing circuit by a coefficient obtained from an outline correcting circuit provided in a CPU 5. A signal 7 obtained by removing the normal ghost of +1-+40us of the above mentioned signal by a normal ghost removing circuit 4 is outputted. The tap gain variable type transversal filter of the circuit 3 is one part of the circuit 2, one part of the circuit 4, or shared by both the circuits 2 and 4. Thus, a circuit constitution can be simplified.
