Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: To obtain an apparatus discriminating and monitoring the damage in a tumbling track by arranging one or a plurality of sensors between a plurality of drive elements and supplying the measuring signals of the sensors to the antenna outside a bearing through an electromagnetic means. CONSTITUTION: A roll bearing consists of an inner wheel 1 and an outer wheel 2 and tumbling elements 5 are arranged on tumbling tracks 3, 4 between both wheels. A holder 6 for guiding and separating a cylindrical rolls being the tumbling elements 5 is provided and a web 12 is engaged with the gap between the rolls 5. In order to monitor the damage in the tracks 3 or the crack in the transfer part 7 between the track 3 and a bearing ring 2, a plurality of high frequency coils 13, 14 are arranged to a plurality of the webs 12. By the high frequency electromagnetic fields 15, 16 within these active regions, an eddy current is generated in the vertical plane of the tumbling track 3 or the transfer part 7. The attenuation depending on a gap change is generated in a vibratory circuit by this magnetic coupling action. The amplitude based on this attenuation is determined as a measuring signal. This measuring signal is supplied to the antenna outside the bearing through the electromagnetic means.
