Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To use an exhaust catalytic apparatus instead of an exhaust cover and allow a catalyst to pass through all exhaust gases by providing means such as extending the exhaust catalytic apparatus in an exhaust passageway of a cylinder block and dividing the exhaust passageway by a tongue-like member into an upper portion and a lower portion. CONSTITUTION: In a cylinder block 2, cylinders having exhaust ports 5, 6 are formed, and an exhaust passageway 40 is formed between the exhaust ports 5, 6 and an exhaust outlet 7. Further, an exhaust catalytic apparatus 20 is mounted in the cylinder block 2. In this case, the exhaust catalytic apparatus 20 is extended in the exhaust passageway 40 of the cylinder block 2. Furthermore, the exhaust passageway 40 of the cylinder block 2 is divided by a tongue 60 into an upstream portion 64 which communicates with the exhaust ports 5, 6 and a downstream portion 68 which communicates with the exhaust outlet 7. In addition, the exhaust passageway 40 forms communication between the upstream portion 64 and the downstream portion 68. Further, a catalyst 156 is arranged in an exhaust passageway 190 of the exhaust catalytic apparatus 20.
