HEAT-SENSITIVE RECORDING MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To improve preservation stability of a recording image in a heat- sensitive recording material performing blue color development, by a method wherein specific basic dye and a coloration agent are used by combining them with each other. CONSTITUTION:A heat-sensitive recording layer containing colorless or light- colored basic dye and a coloration agent which enables coloration by coming into contact with this dye is provided on a substrate, which is made into a heat-sensitive recording material performing blue color development. On this occasion, N-butyl-3[bis{4-(N-methyl anilino)phenyl}methyl]carbazole is used as the basic dye. Furthermore, a matter shown by a formula I is used as the coloration agent. Hereupon, X is shown by a formula II or III, R shows C1-C4 alkyl groups and C1-C4 alkoxyl groups. Consequently, preservation stability of a recording image in this heat sensitive recording material becomes extremely excellent.
