CODED TRANSMISSION SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To provide a coded transmission system for enabling the transmission of plural video sequences with high quality while using an encoder. CONSTITUTION:Plural input video signals 1a-2n are multiplexed into one structured video sequence 12 in the unit of a frame for which an information source number (n) is imparted and the respective video frames of the programmed video sequence 21 are coded by the coder set in an internal state S (n, m) decided by the information source number (n) and a parameter (m) to decide the multiplex structure. Then, output signals from the respective frames of the coder are composed of header parts containing the parameters of the information source number (n) and the internal state S (n, m) and the coded data of those frames.
