COLOR PHOTOGRAPH MATERIAL INCORPORATING MAGENTA COUPLER, INHIBITOR RELEASING COUPLER AND CARBON-AMIDE COMPOUND

PURPOSE: To suppress successive coupling by a magenta dye forming coupler by incorporating a two-equiv. pyrazolone magenta dye forming coupler, a carbonamido compd. and a development inhibitor releasing coupler. CONSTITUTION: This color photographic material has a substrate carrying a silver halide emulsion and a coupler compsn. consisting of a two-equiv. pyrazolone magenta dye forming coupler, a carbonamido compd. and a development inhibitor releasing coupler. The carbonamido compd. acts as a solvent and suppresses successive coupling phenomenon by the magenta dye forming coupler but does not improperly vary an improving effect produced by the inhibitor releasing coupler, accordingly gamma value comparable to that obtd. using the conventional coupler solvent is obtd. The carbonamido compd. can suppress successive coupling without significantly varying gamma value obtd. by the combination of the magenta dye forming coupler with the development inhibitor releasing coupler.
