IGNITION FURNACE FOR SINTERING AND OPERATION METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE:To provide an ignition furnace for sintering and an operating method therefor in which an amount of used fuel is reduced and sintered ore is produced with a high yield. CONSTITUTION:An ignition furnace for sintering having a pallet 11 for conveying a sintering raw material 13 and a combustion burner 20 through which a combustion flame 21 is brought into collision with the sintering raw material on the pallet 11 is prepared. A relation between a fuel using amount and the air-fuel ratio of the combustion burner 20 and the position, where ignition of the sintering raw material is optimized, of the combustion flame 21 formed by the combustion burner 20 and a relation with the width of the combustion flame 21 in the position are determined. An amount of fuel used in the burner 20 is controlled according to the moving speed of the pallet 11 such that a fuel feed amount per a unit area of the pallet 11 is adjusted to a constant value and from the amount of used fuel, the angle and the height of the burner 20 are controlled based on the relation.
