LIQUID-OPERATED CUSHIONING TYPE RUBBER SEAT

PURPOSE: To isolate acoustically irritating vibrations of smaller amplitude by providing two liquid-filled activating compartments that communicate through a buffer aperture, separating gas-filled compartments from the activating compartments by a resilient compensation wall, and communicating the gas compartments with a connecting aperture. CONSTITUTION: Fixtures 6, 7 are formed into tubes, connected with a rubber elastic body 8. The elastic body 8 has two liquid-filled compartments 1, 2, which are communicated through the buffer aperture 9. When large amplitude low frequency vibrations are transmitted, a mutual motion is caused between the fixtures 6, 7 causing alternate volume changes in the activating chambers 1, 2, and a part of the liquid is pushed through the buffer aperture 9. The buffering effect in the aperture 9 suppresses the vibrations. Deformable compensation walls 5 are provided in the activating chamber 1, 2, communicated each other through the aperture 4, and filled with a gas. When high frequency vibrations are delivered, the pressure changes in the activating chambers 1, 2 alternately cause volume decrease in the finger-shaped parts of the compensation wall 5 to insulate the vibrations.
