Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To efficiently recover steelmaking dust containing high concn. of Zn by recovering the dust containing a large part of ZnO at the initial stage of blowing, charging into a converter in the following operation and repeating the operation recovering Zn containing dust at the initial stage of blowing. CONSTITUTION:Molten iron is introduced into the converter 1 and scrap containing Zn-containing waste material is charged. Exhaust gas containing Zn-containing dust at the initial stage of oxygen blowing is cooled in a gas cooler 2 and the Zn-containing dust is collected with a horizontal type cyclone 3 and recovered in a Zn-containing dust storing vessel 7 at the lower part. The dust containing no Zn is collected in the horizontal type cyclone 3 and recovered into an Fe base dust storing vessel 9. The Zn-containing dust recovered in the Zn-containing dust storing vessel 7 is charged into the converter 1 after introducing the molten iron before starting the following oxygen blowing. The exhaust gas containing the Zn-containing dust at the initial stage of oxygen blowing is cooled in the gas cooler 2 and the Zn-containing dust is collected in the horizontal type cyclone 5 and recovered to Zn containing dust storing vessel 7. This operation is repeated.
