BLOOD SUGAR AND BLOOD LIPID REDUCING AGENT

PURPOSE:To provide a blood sugar- and blood lipid-depressant which is useful as a prophylactic or therapeutic agent for disorders caused by increased blood glucose and blood lipid, for example, human diabetes and hyperlipemia. CONSTITUTION:The subject blood sugar and blood lipid-depressant contains cycloaryne or its pharmaceutically permissible salt such as hydrochloride, sulfate or the like, as an active ingredient. The drug can be given orally or parenterally in general forms. The dose of the active ingredient is 10 to 1,500mg, preferably 20 to 1,000mg/adult/day and it is given one or more times, for example, twice or thrice a day. The compound can be prepared through several methods and, for example, from cysteine through a known process.
