Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To simplify the channel mapping operation by using an automatic programming function to find and program all available channels and mapping only available channels. CONSTITUTION: A control program for both of these functions is stored in a read-only memory ROM 114 of a controller 110. The controller 110 includes a central processing unit CPU 112, the ROM 114, a random access memory RAM 116, and an externally provided electrically erasable programmable read- only memory EEPROM 117. The controller 110 causes a tuner control unit 104 to control a tuner structure 102 and generate a control signal for selection of one specific RF signal in response to a control signal inputted from a local keyboard 120 and an infrared (IR) receiver 122 by a user. Automatic programming channel data, channel data inputted by the user, etc., are stored in the EEPROM 117.
