DYE ACCEPTOR ELEMENT FOR HEAT SUBLIMATION PRINTING

PURPOSE: To improve image stability and resolution and to minimize lateral diffusion by providing a supporter with a dye acceptor layer containing an aromatic polycarbonate expressed by a specific general formula. CONSTITUTION: A compound having a repetitive structure of 10 or more of bis-(hydroxyphenyl)-cycloalkane which is expressed by formula I (wherein R and R represent hydrogen, halogen, alkyl group with C1-8, cycloalkyl group with C5-6, aryl group with C6-10 and aralkyl group with C7-12, X represents a carbon atom, m represents an integer 4-7, and R and R represent hydrogen and alkyl group with C1-4, where for at least one atom X, R and R are both alkyl) is dissolved into a proper solvent. This dissolved liquid is applied to a supporter made of a synthetic resin film and the like and dried to form the dye acceptor layer. Such additives as an ultraviolet absorbent, light stabilizer and an antioxidant may be mixed with the dye acceptor layer if necessary.
