SAWING METHOD AND DEVICE FOR LONG-SIZE METAL

PURPOSE:To carry out smooth cutting in the iron and steel industrial field for sawing rolled steel materials and in the industrial field for sawing various long-size metallic materials, by locally raising temperature of a sawed place while sawing is carried out in a room temperature condition or in a high- temperature condition. CONSTITUTION:A sawing device comprises a pair of laser beam emission nozzles, 16, 16' oppositely arranged with an article 13 to be sawed therebetween, control devices 18, 18' for controlling the attitudes of the laser nozzles 16, 16' so that the laser beams can be always emitted on an article 13a to be sawed at the time just before a saw tooth 7 is touched while synchronizing with the progress of sawing, a nozzle tilting machine, laser generators 19, 19', and laser beam transmission mechanisms 20, 20'. Further, a central control unit 20 is provided, by which commands are given to the sawing machine, laser generators 19, 19', and laser-nozzle attitude control devices 18, 18' for controlling the start/ stop of respective devices so that overall operation can be enabled.
