Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To reduce the shaft load and increase the transmitting capacity by setting a flat belt over a driving pulley and a follower pulley, giving the two pulleys a pressure in the direction of setting off the shaft load of each pulley through the use of tension pulleys, and arranging so that the contacting angles of the flat belt with the driving and the follower pulley are no less than 180deg. CONSTITUTION:A flat belt 4 is set over between a driving pulley 2 and a follower pulley 3 and is pressed by a pair of tension pulleys 5, 6 so that a tension is generated. The tension pulleys 5, 6 are located against the action of each shaft load F of the driving and the follower pulleys 2, 3, which are thus pressed indirectly through the flat belt 4 by a certain pressure Fc in the direction of setting off each shaft load F. At the same time, the flat belt contact angle 0 with the driving pulley 2 shall be set no smaller than 180deg. to generate a satisfactorily large gripping force in belt setting, which should enhance the transmitting capacity.
