Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain a rope having improved fatigue life by twisting plural element wires to obtain a strand and twisting a plurality of the strands at a specific tightening ratio. CONSTITUTION:The objective rope 1 is produced by twisting side element wires 6 around a core element wire 5 to obtain a side strand 7 and twisting the side strands 7 around a core strand 4 produced by twisting side element wires 3 around a core element wire 2. The tightening ratio of the rope is adjusted to 2.5-8% to impart sufficiently long fatigue life while relieving the difficulty in twisting and preventing the breakage and damage to element wires caused by overtightening. The rope is suitable as an operation rope subjected to bending under sliding motion.
