Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain a heat insulating roof for floating tank which can realize a large shortening of installation step and reduction of cost. CONSTITUTION:A roof plate 2 of a floating tank is coated with a corrosion proof film coating 5 and then sprayed with primary liquid of isocyanate denatured phenol resin, which foams and hardens to form a foamed layer 6, and further a synthetic rubber is sprayed over the surface of the foamed layer 6 to form a waterproof layer 7. Accordingly, the foamed layer 6 of isocyanate denatured phenol resin has both heat insulation and resistance to flame. Also as it is spray treated, the foamed layer 6 and the roof plate 2 are adhered entirely that there is no possibility of ingress of rain water. Further, compared with a conventional panel pasted heat insulating roof, works such as marking, landing operation and hardening of adhesive can be saved, and therefore, shortening of installation steps and reduction of cost can be realized effectively.
