CONSTANT PRESSURE SPECIMEN STAGE FOR ULTRASONIC PROCESSING

PURPOSE:To prevent oil leakage, enhance the sensitivity and reproducibility, and make compact the configuration by installing a magnetic force generating means equipped with adjustability which works in the sliding direction between a base and a placing table slidable relative to the base, and furnishing a position sensing means for the placing table relative to the base. CONSTITUTION:A placing table 1 is arranged on the top surface of a rotary shaft 3 and rotates while holding a specimen 12 of fragile material. An upward acting force is given from below the table 1 to a tool 10 driven by an ultrasonic vibration hone 9 while slurry with abrasive grains 11 is fed, and a crushing process with ultrasonic impact takes place. A permanent magnet 4 is installed at a flange 13 at the bottom of the rotary shaft 3 elevating and sinking relative to the base 2. Another permanent magnet 5 facing the one 4 is installed on a spindle 14 of a micrometer 6. A gap sensor 7 to sense the magnetic gap C1 between these permanent magnets 4, 5 is mounted in such a way that the gap C2 to the flange 13 is held constant, and there an indicator 8 is connected.
