Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: To synchronously transfer data blocks (called pages) between the two different electronic media of a data processing system. CONSTITUTION: The interposition of a program requesting a page transfer is divided into a pair of instructions per one page transfer executed on a central processor. By the first instruction of the instruction pair, another processor which controls asynchronous page transfer is started and, by the second instruction, the end of the page transfer is informed to the program. Both instructions do not cause interruptions to the page transfer.
