HEARTH ROLL FOR STEEL TRIP CONTINUOUS ANNEALING FURNACE

PURPOSE:To improve the productivity while preventing the buckling by arranging gap in the rotating direction of a roll between a cylindrical part of the roll and disk-like end plates arranged at both ends thereof. CONSTITUTION:A roll barrel part 51 of the hearth roll is fixed to a rotary shaft 53 by a center plate 54 and the two end plates 52. As the roll barrel part 51 is a little shorter than interval of the inside of the end plates 52, the gap 55 exists in the rotating direction of the roll in the fitting part. Therefore, the thermal expansion generated at the roll barrel part 51 is absorbed with the gap 55. By this method the thermal crown of the hearth roll is reduced and the developing ratio of the buckling is reduced and the improvement of the productivity by rising the line speed can be realized.
