Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To effectively utilize only byproducts generated in a coke factory to provide a safe and easily usable fuel especially reduced in the sulfur content by dissolving a coal tar pitch to a gas oil obtained by dry-distilling coal. CONSTITUTION:A gas oil obtained by washing a dry-distillation gas by-produced when coal is dry-distilled to produce coke is heated with stirring. The ground product of a coal tar pitch which is the distillation residue of the coal tar is gradually dissolved in the heated gas oil, followed by adding the coal tar to the solution to provide the fuel oil. Thereby, the solid pitch fluidized only at temperatures above 100 deg.C and the easily flashed and highly dangerous gas oil liable to cause a back fire phenomenon are simultaneously effectively utilized as the safe and easily usable fuel.
