WEIGHTLESSNESS SIMULATING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To resolve the effect of the gravitational force on a cable by providing a suspending system for the cable connected to an object, and lifting or lowering the intermediate support point in a simulating device suspending the object with a suspending system to simulate the behavior shown by the object in the weightless space. CONSTITUTION:A weightlessness simulating device suspends an object 93 via a suspension line 92 suspended from a suspending system 91, controls the horizontal suspension position of the suspending system 91 so that the suspension line 92 is invariably kept in the vertical direction against the behavior of the object 93, detects the tension applied to the suspension line 92 with a tension detecting system 94, controls a winding system 95 to offset the gravitational force applied to the object 93, and simulates the behavior shown by the object 93 in the weightless space. A cable suspending system 98 suspending a cable connected to the object 93 with a suspension line 97 is provided, and the intermediate support point 960 is vertically moved so that the vertical positional relation between the intermediate support point 960 of the cable 96 and the object 93 by the suspension line 97 is invariably kept constant against the behavior of the object 93.
